Yes, yes it is. The car was sold to Alf Grant in 1982, and did three Bathursts in Alf's hands (it gave Craig Harris his first start on the hill too), and gathered another two top ten finishes there.
Dick bought the car in the late 80's, and it was given a VERY hasty respray into something approximating the original signage (although the colour and the fonts - and some of the sponsor names - were all wrong).
You could still see some of Alf's paint in the roof, where the crows feet were breaking the paint up. She was a damn sight less pristine than the XE, but complete.
BTW, Alf was a partner in some real estate with Dick, in the day, and Dick did the driveline for the car under Alf's stewardship... and Roy McDonald spannered the car in 1983 at Bathurst for Alf.
It will undoubtedly be a wonderful sight to behold when it comes back from the shop. One of the guys I work with was a panelbeater in a previous life, and we got to talking about some of the folks the Bowdens use in restoring their cherished babies... we're talking creme de la creme here...
