Behind the pits at Amaroo, so I've heard, mid-eighties, and I thought the result was a bit one-sided in favour of Oil Can Harry... would be sad if true (the result I mean, as it's pretty much beyond doubt that the stoush happened). No love lost there... Frank managed Grice's Craven Mild racing team for a number of years, putting Grice in the Corvair Sports Sedan, and then changing across to the BMW's in 1981... before yanking the deal out from under GRice and putting Jim Richards in the seat.
Grice apparently scrapped the Corvair and buried it upside down at the Amaroo tip in retribution for perceived wrongs, and makes not secret of his dislike of Frank... Gardner seems to do the tar baby act and says nothing...
