With the recent test day and the form shown at QR for the developement series, what are the likely pairings for the endurance races. Will D tested in Stevens car at the Test day, should we read anything into that.

Another site has Steve and Canto paired as they have similar setups !!!

Also just got a DJR Westpoint jacket from the DJR shop signed by all three, awesome. Great people at the shop as well.

I asked Chalks about this, and his reply is in another thread somewhere... But OFFICIALLY nothing has been decided... He just said that they'll all sit down leading up to Sandown and make up their minds then..

I'll just reiterae my comment from another thread that I'd be good to go with Junior as I'm willing to drive it no matter how he sets it up... and he won't have to adjust the seat for me :D

No, I'll be with Glenn, for he and I were both born in Liverpool, albeit 19 years, 9 months and 20 days apart. How about the two Liverpool boys going for victory at the mount?

Everything I keep reading & seeing is pointing towards

#17 Jnr/ Will
#18 Seto/Canto

As much as I'd like to have seen #17 Jnr/ Seto, I get the feeling it is not going to happen... But having watched the development race on the weekend I think any combo will be strong..

Do Seto & jnr have varying driving styles & setups??? Seto has been saying lot from the start of the car, how he keeps changing the car/setup to suit his driving style.. I'd ashume DJR built the car to jnr's style as that is all they knew at the time???

I'd be very happy if #17 jnr/Will won Bathurst.. As I do now consider myself to be a DJR fan & I want the team to go well & not just Seto to go well... But.... as a long stuffing Seto fan at bathurst that would rrreeeeaaallllyyy hurt to see #17 win without the name Seto on the side window!!!

I can't say I've got the same dedication to DJR yet, Joe, as for a long time they WERE the enemy. Mind you. I'm slowly coming round to it. A lot of it depends on how next year goes, rather than this, but if Glenn was to win Bathurst with DJR, I'd be a DJR fan for life. A Seton/Canto combo would be fast, and you'd be assured that Glenn would get all the 'main gun' duties, unlike the Lowndes era.

A Seton/Canto win would be fantastic for the Fairfield-Liverpool area (sorry, I'm sadly biased). Canto's father, Rocky, owns CANTO Smash Repairs in my current domicile and Seto was born in Liverpool and raised in Moorebank. So plenty of historry to be made this year. Can they put a Fairfield Motors decal to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Bo's win on the car? I know that they no onger exist, but it's be good for nostalgia's sake.

But SF, the arch enemy as been very kind to Seto thus far.. Way more than I can say to FPR in the complete 2 years he drove for them!!! For that alone I have respect for Dick & DJR!!

That's true, Joe. I like the way DJR have treated Glenn and Steve. It's shown class that other teams just do not have. For instance, I'm a lot more calmer now about the intra-team battle than I was at FPR, because I know that not only do the drivers respect each other, but the teams respect both drivers as well, which makes life as a supporter less stressful. I hope that DJR wins Bathurst. After the trials and tribulations over the past few years, they deserve it.

Motorsports news also wrote yesterday, that they are excepting this driver line up for DJR

I might have to change my signature below now!!! :D It is not #17's turn, it is #18's turn... Has #18 won Bathurst or has it always been #17???

I read that, and thought, logically, that maybe this is DJR's strongest chance at the Mountain without any disrespect to Steve and Will.

It was great to see Dick, Jill & Seto on the pit wall together applauding Canto & Davison on their DJR 1-2 at Willowbank in the HPDC series. Would never have seen that through their bitter rivalry in the late 80's & 90's. Good to see....

As far as #17 & 18 for Bathurst. Has to be 2 of the most potent combo's for this years Great Race.

Hope I don't go home disappointed again on October 10......

There is nothing wrong with DJR's driver pairings or the horsepower available to them! I just hope they can get them to turn and stop a little better!

You can never write off DJR's chances at Bathurst, I can't wait!

Bathurst is all about consisitency and lets face it, the boys at DJR have proved they have that right. With Dick's and Glenn's experience (too many years combined to remember), they have to be up there with a very good chance. It is Glenn's turn and time to get that monkey off his back.

SF, interesting you comment on the intra team rivalry at FPR. Speaking to Craig, Glenn is the only driver he reckons he would socialise with and stay friends with. He said he learnt a lot from Glenn and has a lot of respect for him. I agree with you though, I did not like the last 2 years and the way FPR shafted Glenn after buying his team. They were obviously Lowndes biased. So you have to give credit to DJR - Dick doesn't play games like that and you can see the way everyone is in the pits and the way Steve and Glenn interact together that it is a much nicer environment. Give me a few more years and I might even forgive Dick for the speedhump comment about our Glenn. I am relieved that DJR took Glenn on though, cause I was really scared that we were almost about to see the last of him in a car and he is way too young for that.

Before Glenn had Lowndes as a teammate, I never liked Lowndes as a person or driver. At HRT, I thought he was arrogant and expected people to get out of his way. And then when he went to Ford, Marsden and Polites (sorry, I still can't forgive those two) shafted Glenn big time by diverting much-needed resources over to the Gibson/00 disaster, instead of FTR, who were still the leading Ford team. I've gained a new respect for Lowndes in the past two years, despite some harsh comments from me on other forums at times. The bloke is a fantastic driver and helped Glenn get two second places at Bathurst. FPR were just pricks from the beginning and it was plainly obvious that Glenn had the role of Rubens.

I have to say I'm disappointed they're being split I mean if both drivers were in a position they could win the championship I'd understand but I think winning Bathurst is alot more important then being inside the top 10 of the championship. Saying that tho they do have 2 very good co-drivers & if they had to split them I think they made the right pairings.
