Conflict!?! What Conflict?

  • 1. "Your knowledge and input is always welcome but please respect the team, the drivers and other members. Abuse or harsh criticisms will not be tolerated".

    2. "This forum is designated 'Family Friendly' - (ie. we have young & impressionable readers - even if they're not Members/Posters) - therefore language must be moderated! - (how would YOU feel about YOUR 9 year old reading it?)

    3. "Use of characters (eg. #$*@!) that only 'partially' disguise an intended vulgar/offensive word(s) is unacceptable!
If you MUST express yourself in such a manner... use ***** and let the reader's imagination 'fill in the blanks'."

Totally agree that he shouldn't be doing it.

While he is driving a current spec car he is getting seat time which at the end of the day helps Team Vodafoney.

Wouldn't surprise me if he is telling 888 all about the other cars as well

i heard them say that they are doing it to help us in tv land understand more about the cars and race tracks. but the thing is they didn't explain anything about the car or race track that couldn't of been said with the normal in car cameras.
Beejay i believe you are not paranoid it seems unfair to me aswell

Beejay you are not paranoid.
Now that Skaife has accepted a co-driver role for the enduros (and it doesn't matter which team it is for) he should have had the brains to disqualify himself from these planned laps.
I don't have a problem with Crompo and Larkham doing them as there is no team association with them, regardless of who they are mates with.
They talk about being professional yet this sort of crap is allowed to happen. Vesa are just as much to blame as Skaife as it's pretty obvious that between them there is an empty space instead of a brain.

you know, I am not overly worried about the "practice" Skaife is getting from these laps although, I am sure driving the car he'll be in at Bathurst is surely advantageous.

My problem is the reporting back to the team he's driven it for. I know the setup of the cars is dependant on the normal drivers' comfort but the way Skaife debriefed Jamie and the tech staff after his drive in Bahrain made me think a little.......

I'm not prepared to go pointing the finger and shouting "cheats", and these guys are very clever and very interested in each other's expert opinions, so I can see how it can happen, but I do have a problem with Vodaphone getting Skaife's expert opinion and others not.....as if they bloody need it

its got to clash with V8SC's intent for limiting practice hours for all the teams

I dont think it is right he is driving the cars, and im sure FPV or DJR would not like him behind the wheel of there cars its a bit odd he is not really a inderpendant person to be doing this .
