Ian Geoghegan, Dick Johnson, Peter Brock, Jim Richards, Steve Richards, Craig Lowndes, Jason Bright, Marcos Ambrose, Allan Moffat, Alan Jones, Kevin Bartlett, Skaife, Ingall, Larry Perkins, Steven Johnson. All guys who I have admired at some level, above their peers, for various reasons. Some more naturally gifted than others, some great drivers, some great racers, some both. Barring that corpulent genius, Ian Geoghegan, I can remember seeing each name on the list driving right on the limit, performing deeds fit to etch their names among the titans of motorsport in any category.
My favourites internationally: Lauda head and shoulders for raw courage, and a cold, steely resolve and will; Villeneuve for his inhuman talent - the racer's racer; Prost - the Professor; Jones, for his ability to muscle a car on cold tyres - on his day (and even occasionally in his '90's touring car drives) he was untouchable; Andretti, so versatile... and I'm sure I could find more.
