Where were u Pete to get those pix, we were in Stand 13 (on the left hand side of your 2nd and 3rd pix) , was pretty cool when the Fujitsu car skidded by on its roof !!

Also ,. . . .it was god to see Tander slaped on the wrist with a 25 point penalty for the crazy shutting of the door which ender David russel's run.

Will this lead to some consistancy in stupid line covering after making a small error that is the cause of so many crashes ? i don't think so,. . . it will probably still depend on who the driver and team is.

More of the same today, at least 17 showed some speed before a fuel issue on the last lap and a Ford won.

Anyone else notice the lack of spectators today, nearly every grandstand was lucky to be 20% used, the hill had ample space and bugger all people lining the circuit. Could be the death of this race, Bligh and VESA only have themselves to blame by turning one of the best party atmosphere races into a "Family" friendly race which most families can't afford to attend. [jk]

Was 16 floors up and had a ball, balcony "girls" were out quite a bit but made a hasty exit every time the police made an appearance.

This is so true - we used to official at the race - then became spectators... Well since "v8sc" shortened the track "to make it better" it has lost that atmoshpere...
If it lost they only have the do-gooders and themselves to blame.

Yep, we spent $500 on 2 tickets in an UNCOVERED stand opposite the pit exit - next time we will just go GA

Was more of a crowd around the place on the Saturday I thought than Sunday

As we were walking through the "Kids Zone" my missus said, if this is meant to be a kids area, why are there booths selling beer in it??

Thanks, good pickup on the passing move of car 17 as well, at least we have evidence now that DJR cars can actually perform a pass, although Fiore coudn't remember how to do it Sunday, he is just so used to moving out of the way he didn't know what to do to get around Moff on the grid. :D

Thought the world had turned upside down when some one said there was piccy of our boys overtakin another car...
then realised it was too good to be true, the car we overtook was upside down.[crackup]
