Is anyone attending the celebrations for 50 years of Falcon at Broadmeadows assembly plant in Melboure on Monday 28th June?
Some car clubs have been asked to attend with their cars and be given a guided tour of the assembly line etc, there are suppose to be some Ford motorsport personalaties there also, so hopefully Dick will be one of them.
I will be cruising along in the trusty XT GT with 15 others from the Falcon Gt club of Australia, should be a good day.

Special

Ford Falcon 50th Anniversary

4pm – 4.30pm WIN
Saturday 26 June 2010

To celebrate this amazing milestone, step through time to when the very first Australian-built Falcon rolled off the Broadmeadows production line on June 28, 1960, and journey right through to today's incredibly equipped 2010 FG Series.

Another fine example of Win television's professionalism. So far I've seen 2 minutes of program and 11 minutes of No signal!!

Enjoy mate. I might have my XW ready for the 100 year celebrations

GT Nationals are here in Brisbane at Easter next year big fella. That gives you plenty of time to dust the old girl off and get her ready! We are doing a full resto on a Candy Apple Red XT GT at the moment and it will be ready for the Nationals if all goes to plan. There is also a Bronze Wine XY GT that we are about to paint and re-assemble. This car will be back on the road by September this year.

Cheers

I wonder if the Ford sponsored teams will carry different branding across the top's of their windscreen's in Townsville to mark this milestone? I recall they carried "New Falcon" in 2008 to mark the release of the FG. I expect this to be the case, although the Ford Marketing team are clearly not that switched on and have made some disgraceful decision in the past...
