No official word on Car 18 yet but it's been rumoured that James Moffat will get the drive. Webb has gone off on his own so only 2 cars for DJR this year. Along with a new driver, DJR are still looking at replacing up to six employees at this stage including a new Sporting Director, 2 Mechanics, 2 Engineers and a Sub Assembly Technician, all lost to other teams at the end of 2010.

Wayne Cattach is new SD now isn't he???
He is reported to be back at DJR but what his role/title is hasn't been confirmed i don't think.
On the subject of rumors, why is there always the rumor regardless of how successful DJR are, that they are in financial hardship, monies being owed etc.... I don't think any of the other 2 car teams attract so much attention regarding financial difficulties regardless of on track performances?
With many of the team leaving and obviously Courtney, Charlie and Glen Turner leaving, a heap of new staff, James Moffatt (possibily) in 18 in my opinion I think we will be in a similar position in 2011 as we were in 2004-2006. [help]
The platform of on track success that was built up over the last 6 or 7 years has departed, so we are a team in rebuild, with strained finances and possibily without a championship contending driver.
Thats my 2c, any thoughts on this likely prospect?

Speedcafe have reported that Mother will continue to sponsor Webb this season. It also mentioned that he will be using DJR engines although the engine building side of DJR has been sold to Roger Higgins. It mentioned that Roger has been a part of the DJR engine department for many years, anyone heard of him?.
Paul Morris has taken two race engineers from DJR to help get his cars to the front. Could be a good move given the DJR guys has a good handle on the 888 chassis and his guys didnt have a bloody clue.
Sounds like there has been some major structual changes in order for DJR to survive the split with Charlie, I sure hope we have the structure and the dollars to keep running at the front in 2011

Roger Higgins has been with DJR for some time and from memory he commenced as an engineer and worked in the shocks department. Most recently he has been working in the engine shop producing strong and reliable engines for djr. Interesting development with Higgins purchasing the engine business which may be a direct result of the settlement with Charlie.
Good to see the Webb/Mother deal continuing as this association was very close to concluding at the end of 2010. With a T8 alliance and RH Engines, Webby will be strong.

Just reading on another site someone has posted that DJR has sold to Jacques Villeneuve for $13million and he will be driving car 18.
Personally i don't believe at all but if there was once place who would know or heard of anything it here.

I would be very surprised if it were true considering the trouble that Dick went through in order to keep the team. Maybe it's someones wishful thinking.
