It's been a bit quiet here lately so I thought I'd through another one up:
What year & with whom did SJ drive a Holden Commodore for[?][?]

At the start of the 1997 season, Steven returned and again proved his class, winning a Thundersports race at the Australian Indycar Grand Prix behind the wheel of his TraNZam car. He also stepped aboard the Alcair Holden Commodore for several rounds of the Shell Australian Touring Car Championship, taking his first ever V8 Supercar win in a Privateer Dash at Phillip Island.

hehe I knew it - just had to dig a bit.

Well Done Doug!! It was also the first V8 Supercar driven by Marcos Ambrose who tested the #49 Alcair Commodore when SJ was a bit late for a test session. I think Big Bob Tindall had a fair bit to do with this car also, which if I remember correctly, was a Perkins built Commodore that was first raced by Paul Morris in Diet Coke livery in 1994 who crashed it heavily in a test session at Lakeside just prior to Bathurst. It was also the car David Attard won the 95 privateers cup in so she's got some history the old girl.

Steven Johnson competed in two rounds of the ATCC in 1997, at Phillip Island and Sandown Park, with the Alcair Commodore. Marcos Ambrose practiced the Alcair Commodore at Sandown, due to Steven being late.
