Which driver won Rookie of the year at Bathurst, then went on to drive F1 the following year???

Brabham qualified eighth for the 1993 Tooheys 1000 and finished in fourth position with Anders Olofsson as co-driver. It's a shame that David was never able to ply his trade with a top team. I believe his developmental skills would have been handy at a team, such as McLaren, who at the time had forgotten how to win.
