DJ's first ATTC point.

The first ATTC point of many for Dick, can anybody tell me
a. What year.
b. What track
c. What make of car
d. Where did he finish.
e. Who won the race.

Hmmm, Rob, you've got me on that - I'll have to have a look in the archives... I'll take a wild stab at it until I get to my reference material and say Torana, Surfers Paradise, eighth place, Moffat wins --- but that is just a crazy guess.

I am resonably confident that Dick scored points in more consecutive ATCC seasons than any other driver IIRC, but I'd need to back that one up too.

You,ve got the Torana part correct Henry, now think of a different Qld race track that was always very special to DJ.

1970, Lakeside, Torana, Dick got 6th, Beechey won. NOW... 1970 was the year Dick got his FIRST Championship point, and he then went on to gain points in every season until his retirement, BAR ONE... what year?

a. 1972
b. Warrick Farm
c. 3rd
d. Bob Jane won after Moffats Mustang was excluded which bumped DJ up to 3rd in the little Torana. He also finished 3rd in the following round at Surfers Paradise.
