Congrats to the team on some great results! I've only seen results of Races 1 & 2, and heard that Owen's car didn't make the grid in the final, but the results were great!!

Good stuff DJR! :D:D:D[8D]:D:D:D

Yeah Henry, Owen was in a good position to win the round untill the 3rd heat when #71 overheated before the race started. Very disappointing for Owen & surely means the end of his title chances. On the flip side though, Jose continues to impress in the #81 AU & now sits 3rd in the series after another consistent meeting. Well above Jose's expectations I'm sure.

Unfortunately the radiator was the cause of Owen's retirement before Race 3. The title is definitely still achievable for DJR - we're only half-way through and after the 1st round, Owen was in 23rd position, and is now 7th overall. It seems that consistency & persistence when the car isn't quite perfect is the way to win the title, as displayed by Youlden's performance this year. Jose still is in with a great shot, provided he can continue his bullet-proof run he's had so far in the Konica Minolta Series.

Why is it that OK seems to be having all the trouble with the #71 AU :(:((Gearbox-Wakefield, Engine-Adelaide, Overheating-Winton) & Jose, as far as I know has had no such problems with the #81 Falcon[?][?]
The Shell Cars seem to be running reliably:):)Maybe,Owen is a bit harder on the cars than the others or is it just bad luck[V][V]

As an aside to the chat, did anyone happen to see the interview with Dick after OK got KO'd by Steve Owen:
"mate, it just proves you don't need a long neck to be a goose!"
The commentary box was in a fit of giggles, as were most of the viewing audience - brought back some great memories.

Classic Johnson, a throwaway line guaranteed to be a little controversial and eminently quotable!
