What an encouraging start to the year for DJR. #17 qualified 18 & by the end of race 3, worked his way up to 7th & could have easily been 5th if he could have passed #10 when he had a chance.
Anyway, well done everyone at DJR. Let's keep it up!:D:D:D:D

As usual, Steven kept it clean and finished well... But there was nothing fast about that Falcon... Lets hope for an improvment, come Adelaide.

In a weekend that generally brought no joy for Ford supporters, Steve kept his nose fairly keen and brought home a credible result in the last race. While he (and the rest of Henry's Heroes) had no answer to the speed of the premier Holden teams, at least the mail's in on who's on form, how fast they are and where we need to be. There are teams out there with a lot more work to do than DJR before Adelaide; while I'm sure that most of them will have their stuff together, I'm betting that so will the mighty Shell Helix Falcons! Good job all, here's to better things in the future!

Mitchell, just looking at #17 on the box, it seemed to be handling & putting its power to the ground much better than last year. Probably need to find them elusive extra couple of tenths in qualifying though if they wan't to consistently be at the pointy end. Car looked much better in race 3 & will hopefully improve a little more before Adelaide. Fingers crossed.:):)

Rob, from what I hear, they whacked in some new style shockies for race 3, and the gamble paid dividends - FPR played the same game

Mate, the reality is that it only takes a season or part thereof to slide from hero to zero, yet many seasons to claw your way back. From what I am seeing, DJR are being proactive - it may not happen overnight, but it will happen (everytime i say that i get the urge to shampoo my hair)

Im with Mitchell on this one. I expected more from both 17 and 18. Car 17 didnt look too fast to me when Ambrose went flying past it. Its about time DJR give Steve a competitive car so he can show everyone what he is capable of.
