Tips 4 ENZED

  • 1. "Your knowledge and input is always welcome but please respect the team, the drivers and other members. Abuse or harsh criticisms will not be tolerated".

    2. "This forum is designated 'Family Friendly' - (ie. we have young & impressionable readers - even if they're not Members/Posters) - therefore language must be moderated! - (how would YOU feel about YOUR 9 year old reading it?)

    3. "Use of characters (eg. #$*@!) that only 'partially' disguise an intended vulgar/offensive word(s) is unacceptable!
If you MUST express yourself in such a manner... use ***** and let the reader's imagination 'fill in the blanks'."

Hopefully SJ can continue on from his good result at EC. He was quick in NZ last year before engine troubles (running 4th) & hopefully give us a strong top ten finish.:):)

1st Skaife.[V]
2nd Murphy.[V]
3rd Ambrose.:)

Hopefully I'm wrong, but it's hard to see the Fords winning over there.[V][V][V]

Hi Rob, I still reckon the Murph will be hard to beat - Steve will be top 5 material IF he qualifies well, as will Luff be top ten if he does the same. My top 3 :

1st Murphy
2nd Radisich
3rd Ambrose

Yeah Doug, The Rat has to be the dark horse for sure but for some silly reason, I think #2 will be the victor. Skaife can't keep driving that bad can he?? & he's had the pace there for the last two years without putting all together. Just hope I'm wrong!!

Rob, I agree with your theory on Skaife, but I am harbouring a solid dose of "wishful thinking" hehe.

Have faith Rob.
Ambrose was taking all of them to the cleaner's the other year until a puncture stuffed his chance's.
#1 Ambrose
#2 Richards
#3 Skaife
#4 Ingall
My theory on this is that Murph's run is going to end and his whole year will turn to s#$@. Murph know's he is good at that place and when some one knock's him off it is going to shatter his confidence, something that Murph need's

As much as I hate to say it, and as much as I hope it isn't true, I think NZ is going to be a Holden benefit.
I still firmly believe that the Commodore has a slight aero advantage over the Falcon, and this is amplified and circuits with mid to high-speed corners such as Bathurst and Pukekhoe. These are the two circuits that the most consistent Ford team of 2003(SBR) really struggled at.
Hopefully Steve and Wazza can qualify well, have a trouble-free weekend and consolidate their Championship positions.

Now you mention that ROB17, it makes me wonder how big a loss Lakeside was as a test circuit. That place had a good variety of fast & slow to mid speed corners & seems to be a more technical circuit than QR. Just a thought!!

Rob, 100% correct -the only thing technical about Qld Raceway is manouvering your way through the traffic on the Ipswich Motorway on the way.

G'Day Doug. Have to agree with you there & after last years trip north, I think getting out was even worse!

LOL @ Doug & Rob. I reckon if they can down Murph at Pukekohe, they've got him beat for the year. Although, Murph's the sort of character that could turn that sort of defeat into just the sort of spur to get him to the top for the rest of the season... still, be good to see the Henries on top on Sunday night.
