Hi Guys as some of you know I race speedway, did any of you hear about a man killed at the temora speedway on easter sunday, if you did, it was my best friends husband who was also my husband's best mate. So we have had a pretty bad week. Most of the news paper reports stated that he had a heart attack which is not true, he actually died of a broken neck. But if Bill could have picked how he was going died he wouldnt have wrote it any better he was racing at the championships he was in first place and he was in his racecar which was a TE Cortina......

My condolences :(

It's a sad thing to hear of anyone's death: for mine, ifyou lived to be 150, the end would probably still come too soon.

For those who accept that motor racing is a dangerous sport, we can console ourselves in knowing that those who have died at its hand were at least enjoying a passion of which many of us can only dream.

Please pass on my condolences, i heard about the crash at easter (i read it on news.com.au) it is sad, this might be a cleche', but atleast he died doing something he loved.

unfortunatly motorsport is very dangerous, but all drivers/crew/spectators know the dangers, that is why we love watching motorsport, because of the danger.

it is also a shame that his death was reported falsely, and thata majority of people who know of his death will never know that to be th case.

not many people can say that they completed their life at the top of their chosen sport, and this is how he will hopefully be remembered, by a lot the people who knew him.

Condolences

Hi BM, I can only offer our condolences to his family - whenever this happens it reminds me that this sport we follow can be cruel, yet, as in the case of the late Denny Hulme, he passed on indulging in his passion, and no doubt will be watching the rest of the series with interest from the best seat in the house.

hi guys thanks for the support we are all still coming to terms with things, Bill carried everyone in his heart i have know him since I was 2 and cannot recall anybody that didnt like him. We all have a long road ahead of us which we will rebuild little by little. To Forlover yes it is a shame that the media 9-10 times get the bull by the horn and print misleading information.
