It seems like yesterday, the famous Bathurst 'rock' incident that prevented a Bathurst win but kick started Dick Johnson's career, happened 25 years ago. Dick Johnson Racing (DJR) is commemorating this important anniversary with two limited edition merchandise packages.

The first consists of a specially designed T-shirt, stubby cooler and a 'Rock' stress ball emblazoned with "The Rock. 25th Anniversary. Mt Panorama. Bathurst 1000. 1980-2005".

This package retails for $50 and there are only 1000 available.

The second package is sure to whet the appetite of true DJR fans. Dick Johnson has commissioned 25 1:18 scale model 1980 Tru Blu Ford's with a 25th anniversary notation, along with a certificate of authenticity and a personal message from Dick Johnson himself.

Costing $500, only 25 people will get the opportunity to purchase one of Dick Johnson's most famous Fords.

Would be awesome to grab one although I don't think the missus would be to amused if I forked out 500 bucks for a model car.

Tempting, as many of us fans would like to aquire such a model of the famous Tru Blu, personally I hope it dosen't sell. The seller is after a fast return on his outlay. Why else would you buy it and sell so quickly. A fan would appreciate it for what it is and not part with it after 2 months or so.

Let him sweat!!!!
