JC, I admire your loyalty to DJR, but must admit my loyalty first and foremost is FORD all the way. I would not support DJR at all if they changed to Holden. Infact Id say there would be thousands of Loyal DJR supporters who have stuck through thick and thin who would turn on DJR for being unloyal to its supporters.

Yes indeed end of story.

What I was trying to put accross was: Do we support DJR or do we support DJR the Ford race team.

NASCAR is interesting :
Fans there seem to support drivers not teams.
Rusty Wallace fans are Rusty Wallace fans. Even when he drove a Ponatic, a Ford or a Dodge. The fans stayed.
Same with Dale Jarett from Chevy and Daytona win to Ford and Daytona win.
There the drivers and teams have the majority of the support.

F1 is the same: People support the team not the motor behind it.

It's interesting isn't:
The majority of what I have read is "Dont go to Holden because I wont support you" (again sorry for the parrafrasing)

What if I say : "I will only support DJR if thay a are sponsored by Shell. If Shell go I go"

Would that be fair ?
And is that a comment of a true supporter ?????

In that case you need to question WHY you are a supporter of a particular team: personally I started following DJR becasue they were the only Ford team within cooee (Plan B: Garry Wilmington and Murray Carter... not quite up to the mark for an eight-year old I'm afraid), and I loved (and still do love) my Fords. That's not to say that was the ONLY reason I followed (and still follow) DJR... but for me it's somewhere near the core. If it ever happened, I'd be barracking for the Henries, and putting in a bid for a couple of old Gp C & A Ford race cars which would look pretty silly in the foyer at DJR if there were a brace of Commodores out the back - particularly if Holden were backing the move! :D but that's just me

I totally agree with you henry. I support Ford and if DJR did go to the bad side there is no wat i could bring my self to still supprot them. Its the same with Allan Moffat i was a huge Moffat fan but that stopp ed when he left Ford and my total support went with DJR. I have a huge collection of DJR memorbillia that would have been all packed away had DJR gone to the dark side.

As long as DJR run Fords,I dont care who drives them or sponsors them Ill support them. But too barrack for any Holden team to me would be like kissing your sister, its wrong. Under no cirumstances would I ever support a Holden team. I like most young kids was first attracted to Dicky by the Green Mustang toy car I got at the Adelaide Show back in the early eighties. With the old man being a Falcon freak, I was sold, so no I will never go to the dark side...

Hi Guys, I will hopefully have some news in the coming week, depending on info from the team, however I too couldn't stomach the idea of Dick going "red".
