I was wondering when DJR are going to launch their 2004 cars. I know most other teams have launched, but i havent seen any from the mighty DJR.

No launch, this year ... We all know who the drivers are, and the cars are the same ... There wasnt really any point ...

I am still hoping that there is something slightly different in the 2004 livery that will distinguish the cars from last year, even if it is subtle.

Have just seen some pics from yesterdays test at QR. Are CUB no longer a sponsor of DJR?

Hi Rob, I have it on good authority that VB are indeed sponsors this year, until of course I am told otherwise.

I hope so Doug, although none of the images show the whole rear quarter clearly. It does, however, appear that there is a Shell logo on the roof where VB was in '03. Will have to be patient until I see the cars in their entirety.

IMO, I also think that the Cabcharge script will become a little lost on a yellow background. It should be placed above FORD on the windscreen in white, and Dunlop put on the front bar instead.

Yeah, must say Rob 17, the front looks a little messy to me. From what I,ve seen of other Ford teams this year, I,m starting to wonder if Ford has reduced it's sponsorship with there most succesful & loyal Ford team in DJR. For instance, look at the front of Ellery's #31 Falcon, & the Falcon sign on the front spoiler is 3 times the size of DJR's.

I'm sure there's enough in the kitty to ensure we're right amongst it. If you're worried about the budget, we'll all get stuck into the VB's and cab it home in taxis using Shell's finest, while checking into Club17 on our Fujitsu laptops :D

VB are definitely still a sponsor of Shell Helix Racing.

They will continue to sponsor us, on the Merchandise, the Merchandise truck, the uniforms and even the car transporter, however they have decided to remove the branding from the cars to avoid any drink-driving connotations.

Jonathan, I also noticed that VB branding was conspicuously absent from HRT's livery too! Must be CUB's new direction. What will take VB's place on the DJR cars then?
