news just in via Facebook, Bowdens have today sent the Tru-Blu Bathurst and twice ATCC-winning XD out for sympathetic cosmetic restoration to her original livery.

In this fan's eyes, it's been too long! Dick Johnson is said to be delighted.

Yes Henry and unfortunately Dan in all his excitement let the cat out of the bag regarding the big surprise we had in store for everyone at the Club17/Teammates tour on Feb 19th....[sa][sa]

can't blame him for being excited, Darren!

Dan's chasing some info on the sticker on the bottom of the rear quarter... on one of "our" old sites, there was a great b&w pic of Tru Blu at Forrest's Elbow that may have helped... but I can't for the life of me find it anymore!

Is that the red one?
...or the one that looked like a tyre or something?
Memory is not real good.

Went through all the old photos I have Henry and it looks to be Wynns Friction Proofing. 99% sure except its a little hard to confirm from the black and white photos.

that's been the general consensus I think. Thought it likely that it would've been there for conditional prizemoney, but haven't had a look at the schedule of condition prizemoney for that race yet...
