Scotty Mc's penalty has been doubled plus to 33 points with the stewards saying he absolutely could have avoided any contact whatsoever.
personally I think that since the next 3 cars and many others also hit the car in front we can assume that NO he couldn't absolutely avoid the bump but he may have tried harder as svg slowed drastically to close that inside line out where Scotty was trying to get through.

I believe svg was penalised but don;t care enough to look .
Ok I've seen it now, looks like jizzburgler also got 33 seconds penalty since The race stewards have issued Red Bull Holden Racing Team’s Shane van Gisbergen a 33-second time penalty after being judged that he jumped the restart.
So jizz gets no penalty for all the hits and pushing Scott Mc wide down the straight, at all all those hits were deliberate , but nothing.

Not a bad weekend for the team, Skaife's love of T8 was very obvious during this round, so many comments applauding the the tactics used by them, it was getting sickening.

Skaife actually complained on TV that people were calling him biassed even though he said he couldn't see where there was any overlap before the green flag where clearly Jizzburgler was up beside the leader before coming out of the last corner onto the straight, so clearly before the green flag and obviously accelerating before the control line before the acceleration zone, . .

I've also seen the whinging from the NZ pages in social media where they claim Aussies are making up rules to stop Jizz from winning again, . FFS. Idiots.

I think this sort of whinging commentary from media and fan pages reduces credibility of the category especially when the judiciary has gone back to being the epitome of inconsistency.

I'm actually astounded at the NZ grumbles considering Scott Mc is also a kiwi, . . why do they prefer 'bluto' to a clean cut fair racer who is going to be the champion and who doesn't cry every time he looses or get pinged for stuffing up someone else's race.
