Seton drove for FPR in 2003 and 2004 then joined forces with fellow Ford legend Dick Johnson, signing a two year deal in 2005. With much fanfare and publicity the super team of Seton and Johnson would attack the championship side by side, but the marriage would come to a premature end only 12 months in.
Seton describes that year as the worst of his career. Not only was he out of a drive, but it ended his full-time V8 Supercars career.
“To be totally honest I found it difficult because there was no honesty there,” said Seton.
“I found you were always being judged and always on the edge and there was very little truth on job security or about things that went on in the team.
“I would say out of all my career it would be the hardest year I ever had.
“I’m one of those people that is straight forward and honest and I expect others to be the same and I didn’t have that during that year.”

Sour grapes from the "Speed Hump".

He only went to DJR because Ford had to find somewhere for him to go and forced Dicks hand.

While i agree with Bartman said, it also shows that at the time Junior was the man that had all the support and basically it was all about him.

Just after Seton got dumped, by sheer fluke i had lunch with him at Helensvale Subway
While a lot of it was sour grapes he basically said the whole team centred around Steven and couldn't believe how old the gear they were using was

Fortunately that all changed when CS and Davo came on board or otherwise DJR wouldn't have won the 2010 championship

So Glenn was totally open and one hundred percent honest with Bo when they split GSR???????? It seems people in glass houses will sometimes throw stones......[sh]

And I suppose Dick knew the whole time that Westpoint were going to renege on their deal, bit hard to be open and honest when you know FA where the dollars are going to come from.

It's more disappointing the DJR wasted a year on this guy thanks to Ford, and while I agree with some of your comments Bigcol, wasn't Seton supposed to be the guru when it came to car setup?

Wasn't Seton there because he was still a Ford contracted driver at that time, therefore brought a wad of Ford cash along with him too?
No way he was ever going to fit in at DJR. The personalities of Dick and Glenn are poles apart.

It's easy for Seto to have those feelings, and at the time I wondered about the personality clashes. However, What he needs to remember is that without that year at DJR his V8SC full-time driving career would have been over 12 months earlier.
