Looks like a solid start for DJR, but without knowing who has done what with tyres (remember SJ used wets in NZ Practice) it's tough to take anything substantial from this...

...apart from the fact that Whincup is quick AGAIN and that 888 were most probably using their worst tyres in Practice C.

Hopefully we will hear more about DJR's practice strategy this evening.

Sounds like it, that ruins your lap and then you have to find another clear spot and take another lap to get the momentum up for a fast one then nail it again, that's a bunch of laps gone every time you miss one, not to mention tyre rubber.[hb]

All Ford Podium! Watch for Steve Johnson to come through the pack tomorrow. He has saved his soft compound tyres for the Sunday races.

Good to see Sooky La La Tander getting served by everyone. He was blocking Fabian and Caruso at the start when they were on the faster tyres and got what he deserved in the end. Fabian should have waited for the next corner though............Oops!

Great recovery by the Gizzer too.

Just after they pushed him into the garage, there were radio calls about oil on turns 5 and 6, I'm wondering if he'd pulled off and oil line or something and it would have taken a couple of laps to fix anyway. Just speculation mind you.
