Hope you haven't been reading between the lines on V8Central.

If you have .
All it is , is a pile of guys saying that if he can't get a good drive in a Ford go and drive with your mate Skaifey in the enduros

It is front page news on MS!!!

I want Seto to win Bathurst any way he can & I'll take a Bathurst Seto win at HRT if I have too. Granted if he does win, the win won't be as sweet as if he was in a Falcon (but I'll take it away).. I'm just disappoint Ford have done little to prevend this from happening. If hes back for 2008, I hope he comes back to Ford..

At least this year, my brother & I will be going for the same car, which will be very wired as I've always laughed at the misfortune of car #2.. And vise versa (And did I luagh last year after only one concer :D:D:D:D)

I though you were a Courtney fan now Joe!!
I am, Courtney is the future, but.. if Seto is in a race he'll come first all the time! I really wanted to see Courtney/Seto again this year, but it is not to be :(

Seto,
I can no longer support you in any way, you have joined the enemy.
FFS if you joined any other Holden team besides those low lifes from the TWPG i would have said go hard and good luck.
But you have joined the ranks of the scum bags.
I hope your car goes as far as car 2 did last year.

Unfortunately dignity, morality, ethics, tradition etc......, dont put food on the table either.
Lets face it, the drivers or the teams really don't give 2 hoots on whose badge they race for. Its a job.
But, Seto, if you can't jag a win with this lot, I'll have to agree with your critics that your time is up.

I didn't read the motorsport papers, but did this opportunity pop up with Juntle-mun Jum retiring??

You can't blame him for accepting an offer, especially if he's not doing much else... there are that many of the old legends who changed allegiances on the basis of taking or keeping a drive... Ian Geoghegan, Bob Jane, Norm Beechey, Colin Bond, Allan Moffat, Allan Grice, Jim Richards, Dick Johnson, Peter Brock, Bob Morris, Mark Skaife, Glenn Seton (he got his big break in Dattos, remember), Craig Lowndes, John Bowe (drove a works Swedish Valiant!), Brad Jones (an ex-HRT stalwart), Tony Longhurst, Larry Perkins (well, he co-drove a Mustang a couple of times!), John French, Jason Bright, Steven Richards... to name but a few...

I can't say that I was ever Seton's biggest supporter in the first place... while his 1986-7 form stirred up the race fans of the day (of which I was one!!), there were never a huge haul of results to go with the promise and talent... until 1993 at least... and DJ was still pretty much The King for mine at the time anyway. Good luck to the guy, can't say I'd be dancing in the streets if he actually managed to grab the Bathurst crown he's been waiting nearly 25 years for, but I'd have to concede that it was a bout bloody time...

...but it won't happen if #17 does what I'm hoping for!

I agree Henry. it's not the end of the world, if we were going to lose a ford driver, I'd rather lose Seto than one of the current crop of stars. No offence to him or his supporters he is a past champion and represented Ford and his fans and sponsors with style and class. I am guessing it's a long time desire to drive with his mate and good luck to him I hope they finish, (Behind a lot of Fords)! I do feel for blokes who have supported him for so long with the blue oval, I remember mates putting the question to me after the 94 win when there was a hint of speculation Dick might switch if more factory support was'nt forthcoming and fortunately I never had to answer it.

Well I am in still in shock [:0][:0]. I keep staring the the cover of MN and pinching myself - it must be a bad dream (and I have developed one bad twitch!!!). Of all the teams why this pack of cheating mongrels.

After 18 years, 2 championships and over 50 podium finishes, how can Ford let this happen. The name Seton is synonomous with Ford (what does old Beau think?). I have supported Seto through thick and thin over many many dry years (and good ones), but this.......bah bah bah (sorry guys). Talk about conflicting emotions - it is like watching your mother-in-law drive over a cliff in your brand new GT. :(

I want him to win a Bathurst and we all know if not for some very bad luck, it would have happened (I still cry about 1995), but not this way - not with the dark lord, friend or not. [xx(]

I am surprised the Stones aren't having him back - despite Courtney's brash comments about Seto keeping the car off the walls at Bathurst (even though he has been driving that mountain since before James could walk and we won't talk about James's debut!!!), I thought to finish 3rd was good.

If Seto is at Clipsal, there will be harsh words - if I can bring myself to stand near the HRT pit for more than 5 seconds. I just can't believe it - how do I explain this to my daughter? bah bah bah (sorry there it is again)

What would you guys have done if Dick had changed the team to Holden (don't forget he did start in one). We all know Ford was not very supportive of either DJR or GSR at a time when Dick and Glenn were the only ones flying the blue oval flag, but.....

well I am off to have another drink and wait for this nightmre to end. It just isn't right. Course, I could say that if DJR had done the half decent thing at the end of 2005 (and by that I mean letting him and us know earlier that they were going to cancel the contract), this might not be happening. Oh the humanity.:(:(:(

:(Seto is also supposed to be doing the ride car like he did for the Stones and in typical fashion, HRT charge twice as much ($995 was last years rate) unless you are a member (and hell would have to be a very cold place indeed for that to happen).

This is just so surreal. What is a blue blooded girl who has followed this driver for the majority of his career (yes I am old enough to have seen him in the Nissans doing a mighty fine job on slicks at Bathurst in 1987). How would you guys feel if this was Dick. It just leaves me sick to my stomach.

Ford should step up and show some loyalty to the guys who have plodded along without much help from them in the past (and I also include Dick in this). Yes, it is fine to encourage a new breed of young driver (without the ego would be nice) and bring on new talent, but Dick (for ever) and Glenn since the late 80's have been flying the blue flag with no help.

It is all too much for me (and my friends haven't even heard the news yet - then it will be on).

:(:(:(

I'd imagine that he'd be fairly pragmatic about it... having started in humpy Holdens himself, and raced an A9X once or twice...

Seto 18, if DJ had moved over to Holden on the couple of times he threatend too, I would not have supported DJR any longer as first & foremost, I'm a Ford fan.

Lucky for me it's never happened...lol.

Carol if Dick moved over to Holden i wouldn't be here on this website.

I am Ford through and through and nothing will change that.

Like i said if it were any other team besides one from the TWPG stable he would have my support but not while he's with those w@nkers.
Going to one of Tom's teams will have me jumping around the lounge room celebrating when things go pear shaped for them regardless if Seto is in the car.
