Weather was changing all day, from sunshine to drizzle to full on rain. The last five minutes of practice 2 it started raining again, Scotty was on for the quickest lap of the day but got caught out on the last corner.

Stewards Summary Update #1 said:
Stewards Summary Update #1: issued Saturday 6th May 2016 at 1700hrs.

Matters from Race 8:

The Stewards imposed a Pit Lane Penalty on Car #12, Fabian Coulthard, for an unsafe pit release (contact with Car #8, Jason Bright, in the fast lane).

The IO conducted an investigation into the incident involving contact between Car #96, Dale Wood, and Car #1, Mark Winterbottom, at Turn 7. No breach of the rules was established.

The Stewards imposed a time penalty of 40 seconds (added to his race time) on Car #17, Scott Pye, for shortcutting the circuit (using the link road at Turn 4 without a satisfactory explanation).

Matters from Qualifying – Race 8:

There were no issues.

Matters from Practice:

There were no issues.

According to my calculations, that demoted Scott from 11th place ?

What a F!@$%% shambles of a day that was, all the big teams got a lap in thanks to race control so all good from their point of view.

Next time Scotty cuts the corner he should keep going, if he finished first and copped a 40 second penalty at the finish it would had roughly put him back in 11th, were he should have been.

Must be getting frustrating for the team, every round there seems to be an issue for one or both drivers that costs them a decent result. We are getting there as a team, we have all the right gear, look the part, just need to stop these little mistakes each round.

Hopefully a better effort today will see us fighting for a podium, good luck guys.

Following an investigation and an admission of Careless Driving by Car 6, Cam Waters, causing contact with Car #14, Tim Slade, at Turn 1 on Lap 3, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 15 Championship Points on Car #6, Cam Waters.

Following an investigation and an admission of Careless Driving by Car #96, Dale Wood, causing contact with Car #14, Tim Slade, at Turn 5 on Lap 1, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 10 Championship Points on Car #96, Dale Wood.

Just watched the Highlights, . . what a waste of time that was, basically just followed the T888 cars round and every now and then a flick across to someones misfortune for a second or two, . and didn't they get all excited when the three caught up to Winterbottom who held the lead and there was a chance they'd get past him. . .
