Last race for BF

Last race for the mighty BA/BF's.
We don't have to "win it or bin it", as per the Holden call a few years back cause if Wincup misses out, Frosty picks it up.

But I would like to see a all Blue podium with Loundes getting 3rd and DJR securing 3rd for the team comp.

Only Tander can stuff it for us - so all the ford cars out of contention and to Skaifey and Paul Morris - take care of Tander will yer.....

'tis a very good point.. What a great era it's been. It was very tough going with the AU.. I think this car deserves more of a send off than the AU..

In fairness, the BA/BF has been in competition for 6 years versus 4 years for the AU. Furthermore, the AU fell victim to the politics of the "pre-project Blueprint years" where the car suffered a clear front end aero deficiency. It would be interesting to see the BA/BF wins/start ratio versus some of the other successful makes since the inception of the V8 series in 1993.
Agree though that Sunday arvo will be the end of an era for the Blue Oval in a number of ways...

Yeah true the AU was victim to the evil "parity" affliction and with virtually no front end downforce, it was a battle to keep the thing competitive.

I reckon the BA/BF has been pretty successful , would have to up there.[bc][y]

I can think of an AU highlight.....SJ winning the round in Canberra.

Au has been close a few times. The rat twice at bathurst blew tyres near the end while leading
Lowndes stuffed the green eye in the wall there.
And the AU had a couple of bathurst poles and podiums.
it was not all bad

Yeah and once they went to the , what was then the Konica Minolta series they were unbelievable, taking out everything just about.


Plus I reckon the AU XR's and T's were great looking cars, just sayin'
