We have had Maro Engel into the shop (Racecentre) twice in the last couple of weeks just to practice the Adelaide circuit

Didn't do him much good ;)

Although he brought Christian Klein in last time and I think he got pole in the GT's

I'm hoping Van Gis gets served with papers on the grid tomorrow. If Webb and Quinn didn't look at, or get a solicitor to look at Gis's release contract then they are just a stupid as he is.

Holy Crap folks, lets give the team a chance before we call for a revolution.
Maybe we need to hire Casey Stoner because according to the channel 888 commentry team he could carry the whole series on his back so one team should be a cakewalk.

So, I've spent another day at the track. Nothing major to report, apart from the fact I'm too tight to buy a paddock pass to go and stalk the team (I leave that sort of thing to Bartman....) might head in tomorrow, maybe...

Fairly sedate today, plenty of people still testing during the practice sessions. Very interested in the race tomorrow, and how many have the reliability to finish. Yes the norton cars do look like Melbourne taxis.

Was so hoping there was a lawyer in the background to hand over the papers when they passed over the cheque for pole position to that clown this arvo. There's still time....

And no photos, so far, I think I've taken three for the weekend.

The newcomers are still struggling in morning practice, Moffat failed to complete a lap in the Norton Altima. The quickest of the Nissan's and Merc's was Todd Kelly in 12th. I'd really like to see a Nissan or Merc finish in the top ten this arvo.

Just as well our boys didnt break those rules or we would have blown the whole years racing budget in one foul swoop.[crackup]

This is a joke, if ot aint broke dont fix it, thanks to the cotf wankers we have a field of cars with unreliable control components.
What happened to the closer racind, drivers that will have confidence in sticking in in a gap under breaks?
The field is so spread out in getting mpre and more bored as the laps unfold, great job skaifey........

What we know from today's race:

the 1% allowable HP differental between cars allowed Lowndes to make a 20 second gap in the last stint, ( i'm think they might have put in jamie's feul churn)

The engines are now so far back ( supposed to only be 100mm more rearward) that the drivers will have to have something modified to keep from having burned feet due to excessive heat transfer to the pedals.

As T888 built the cars and the rules evolved around them, it was natural they'd be at the pointy end, same with FPR

Where has the "Larry Bar" gone? the view from inside the car now looks . . .wierd.

Congratulations to Garry Rogers and his team. Fantastic effort to come home where they did. DID NOT expect that from either driver. Well done.

Surprised to see Frosty out after 1 lap.

Did anybody see our cars on the TV? I thought i did once or twice (when they were being lapped or turned around) but maybe I blinked and missed them. No idea why Johnny Reid DNF.

Shame to see Fab miss out on the podium. HE would have fully deserved that. And it would have kept JW off it.

Let's see what tomorrow brings.

I was discussing this today with a mate. Surely it would've been for the benefit of the category to have an independent company develop and build the chassis. 888 would know these cars better than anyone else in the field.

The whole series, and moreso the clowns that conceived the COTF concept, are a farce! Ok, you now have to build new cars to new rules which means your previous assets are worthless, then you have to start from scratch and spend lots of $$ on R&D to get a handle on the new gear.

Naturally the team(s) that developed the new cars and have the biggest budgets will be on top of their game from the outset and will continue to remain there for the entire season.

Make no mistake, it can be packaged however you like, but V8SC was stuffed last year, and after shiteloads of $$ it is just as stuffed as it was previously. Same results, same broadcaster biased, same boring bullshite!!!

Great to see the times for DJR getting progressively better. I think TB did a good job in this mornings quali. Looks like a bit of work for the Mercs though![sh]
