It's finally come around again, the first round of a new season. There has been lots of changes over the off season, what with new manufacturers, new cars, new teams, new drivers, and new sponsors. Fair to say it's been slightly more interesting than watching a round of the camel cup in abu dhabi do.
Not too sure what to expect when the cars roll out on Friday. I expect the two big teams, T8 and FPR to be pretty much on it from the get go, however, suspect there will be a few that punch above their weight early on whilst some come to terms with the new cars. Wouldn't be surprised to see BJR snag a few results.
Also looking forward to a bit more spice in pit lane. Loving what Betty is bringing. It's so refreshing to see a team owner be so honest and open. Hope it keeps up and the old school don't wear her down. I don't think that will happen, she seems tougher than that, and good luck to her and erebus, my new favourite second team.
And there is a little bit of me that wants to see SVG get served with papers in the paddock disallowing him to drive because of the sh!t that he pulled in the off season. The other thing I would like to see is Casey Stoner come off second best at turn 8 in the dunlop series and Frosty call him an amateur. But that's just me
We are in for a tough year, always going to be the way when you are running two rookies, and don't have a huge budget. And this is probably one of the better fields this year, not too many bunnies going around.
I am heading down for the weekend, and will attempt to get some photos, but can't promise anything. Anyone else heading along or got any predictions?
