Not sure what to make of it all RJ.

There's a hell of a lot to digest about the teams, the cars and the stewarding.[?][?][?]

They said the crowd was a record at the event,. . . I'm wondering if the bands were good ,. . . .

I was actually surprised that TB ran such a cool race, and ended up a finisher considering the DNF rate,. . also at least mercifully we are saved from the expected gloating that would have assuredly come if one of the DNF drivers would have ended up at the pointy end of the result sheet.

I'd say everyone learned a lot out there during the two races, I think there will be some major changes at some teams garages before next race.

So, is the whole Transaxle arrangement too weak at the moment? Because the hit that Johnny Reid had to put him out didn't look hard enough.

A re-engineer might be in order. Or were we just unlucky?

A case of not having the time (and funds) to get it solid and sorted or is it part of it's design that will make it the "weak link"????

Hi All,

Yes, a very interesting couple of round for the new era V8 Supercars. When I was talking to Ross (Ross Stone) last year he was saying then it would be interesting to see how these cars go against to old cars for reliability. This is only just the beginning we not only had issues with the transaxles also the issue of insulation around the firewall and floor as well.

These cars are also lighter and from my experience in engineering it’s going to be something to keep an eye on as there is a potential to see some structural failures as well down the track. (Just my opinion)

Great effort by DJR, new drivers and new cars and with all the issues they have faced in getting to the Clipsal 500 I think they did us all proud with the limited development time they have had against other teams who have had a lot more track time than Dick and the team. Go DJR & Go Ford. [y]

Cheers,

Shane

I don't think it has ever been this quiet here after a race.[sh]

I had to work Saturday (had the race streaming on the TV's in the shop, but hardly watched it)

Sunday I decided to go out, and came home and caught the last 3 laps

Normally I would of been hanging out for Clipsal, but was a bit meh about it all

Going to be a few late nights to sort out the various teething problems but I
guess this is to be expected when new cars are introduced.:)

I'm hoping Van Gis gets served with papers on the grid tomorrow. If Webb and Quinn didn't look at, or get a solicitor to look at Gis's release contract then they are just a stupid as he is.

Wow this legal action could be bigger than ben hur, Quinn's VIP money vs Ross Stone and "Betty money". That is if it ever comes to fruition.

I personally would love to see the little turncoat grub get everything thats coming to him and him mate Quinn after what he has done to Ross, Jimmy and the Ford Fans. [tsk]

While I was watching his interview after the race I thought he looked and sounded really nervous, when my brother sent me that photo I realised why.

Gotta love Betty, she dont take crap from anyone.
told Mel Doyle from sunrise that even though they where broadcasting from the Erebus garage that open toed shoes were not permissable in her garage!!
So we know which team wont be getting any coverage on Channel 7's Sunrise show.
finally some one who stands up to the almighty network.[sa]

I think its ironic that the category was forced to spend bazillions on new cars and equipment to improve the show, but the best racing we had all weekend was a result of A.Davo causing a safety car to be called.

Surely all V8sc needed to do was to enter him in a car of their own and have him do a Nelson Piquet Jr [crackup]

Betty could toss a coin for Quinns money and you wouldn't notice it on her balance sheet.

At least Betty has good honest blokes driving for her unlike the pilot of the #97 car. That bloke, sorry kid couldn't lie straight in bed.

Keep up the good work Betty..:)

Betty would have enjoyed every second of that. I'm sure she would have had several other things to do, but just simply sitting where she did would have brought her quite a bit of satisfaction.
